          In a press release dated December 14, 2005, The Cheesecake Factory Incorporated announced that it opened its seventh Grand Lux Cafe on December 13, 2005 at the Sawgrass Mills Mall in Sunrise, Florida.  The restaurant contains approximately 11,300 square feet and approximately 300 seats.  The Company also reiterated its new restaurant opening target for 2006 of as many as 21 new restaurants, including as many as four Grand Lux Cafes.  A copy of the press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1.

          Calabasas Hills, CA – December 14, 2005 – The Cheesecake Factory Incorporated (Nasdaq: CAKE) today announced the opening of its seventh Grand Lux Cafe restaurant on December 13, 2005 at the Sawgrass Mills Mall in Sunrise, Florida.  The restaurant contains approximately 11,300 square feet and approximately 300 seats.
