Teck Announces Sale of El Brocal

Vancouver – Teck Cominco Limited (TSX: TCK.A and TCK.B, NYSE: TCK) announced today that it has agreed to sell its indirect interest in Sociedad Minera El Brocal S.A.A. to Compañia de Minas Buenaventura S.A.A. for US$35 million cash. Closing is subject to customary conditions and is expected to occur in the first quarter.
