Property and Equipment	Note 5. Property and Equipment In March 2013, our conditional agreement with STX France S.A. to build the third Oasis-class ship for Royal Caribbean International became effective. Refer to Note 7. Commitments and Contingencies for further information. Pullmantur’s Atlantic Star, which has been out of operation since 2009, was transferred in the first quarter of 2013 to an affiliate of STX France S.A. as part of the consideration for the third Oasis-class ship. The Atlantic Star was transferred at carrying value, which approximated its fair value on the date of its transfer. The transfer did not result in a gain or a loss.

The entire disclosure for long-lived, physical assets used in the normal conduct of business and not intended for resale. Includes, but is not limited to, accounting policies and methodology, roll forwards, depreciation, depletion and amortization expense, including composite depreciation, accumulated depreciation, depletion and amortization expense, useful lives and method used, income statement disclosures, assets held for sale and public utility disclosures.
