Other Events.

On December 17, 2009 ARIAD Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing the completion of patient enrollment in its pivotal, Phase 3 clinical trial of oral ridaforolimus, its investigational mTOR inhibitor, in patients with metastatic soft-tissue and bone sarcomas. The trial was initiated in September, 2007 and took just over two years to fully accrue.

A copy of the press release is being filed herewith as Exhibit 99.1 and this information contained therein is incorporated by reference into this Current Report on Form 8-K.
