Item 8.01 Other Events

On October 8, 2018, Union Bankshares Corporation ("the Company") announced that it will conduct a quarterly earnings conference call on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. Eastern Time during which the Company will discuss third quarter results and provide an update on recent activities. The press release announcing the conference call information is attached as Exhibit 99.1 and incorporated herein by reference.
