[NYSE:VO] confirmed today that the waiting period under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976 applicable to the proposed strategic business combination between Vivendi, Seagram and Canal+ expired Saturday, August 12, 2000, at midnight. The waiting period expired without a request for additional information from U.S.antitrust authorities.
