Item 8.01 Other Events.

 

Effective March 9, 2006, Amylin Pharmaceuticals, Inc. implemented a price increase for BYETTA® (exenatide) injection and SYMLIN® (pramlintide acetate) injection.  The wholesale acquisition cost for a 5 microgram per dose pen of BYETTA increased from $147.00 to $155.82, and the wholesale acquisition cost for a 10 microgram per dose pen of BYETTA increased from $172.50 to $182.85.   The wholesale acquisition cost for SYMLIN increased from $79.50 per vial to $85.86 per vial.
