(See "Fund Management - Advisor Compensation" following.) 1 If a financial institution is managing your account you may also be charged a transaction or other fee by such financial institution. As a result of 12b-1 fees, long-term shareholders in the fund may pay more than the maximum permitted initial sales charge. EXPENSE EXAMPLE This example is intended to help you compare the costs of investing in different classes of the fund with the cost of investing in other mutual funds. The example assumes that you invest $10,000 in the fund for the time periods indicated and then redeem all of your shares at the end of those periods. The example also assumes that your investment has a 5% return each year, that the fund's operating expenses remain the same and includes the effect of any contractual fee waivers and/or expense reimbursements. To the extent fees are waived and/or expenses are reimbursed voluntarily, your expenses will be lower. Although your actual returns and costs may be higher or lower, based on these assumptions your costs would be:
1 YEAR 3 YEARS 5 YEARS 10 YEARS --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Class A $741 $1,140 $1,564 $2,751 Class B 767 1,120 1,600 2,828 Class C 367 820 1,400 2,985 Class R 217 670 1,149 2,484 Investor Class 192 594 1,021 2,224 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
