BIO CEO & INVESTOR CONFERENCE

FOSTER CITY, CA – February 2, 2009 – SciClone Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ: SCLN) today announced that Friedhelm Blobel, Ph.D., President and Chief Executive Officer, will present a corporate overview at the BIO CEO & Investor Conference 2009 on February 9, 2009 at 12:00 p.m. ET in New York City. Dr. Blobel plans to discuss expectations for 2008 financial results and guidance for certain 2009 milestones and financial expectations.
