Russia: TotalEnergies Acquires 10% of 

Arctic Transshipment LLC from Novatek

Saint Petersburg, June 3, 2021 – TotalEnergies has signed a Sale and Purchase Agreement (SPA) with Novatek to acquire 10% of Arctic Transshipment LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Novatek, which owns and will operate two liquefied natural gas (LNG) transshipment terminals being built in the Murmansk and Kamchatka regions of Russia.

These terminals will provide export logistics services, including to the Arctic LNG 2 project under construction, and will each initially include a 360,000 m³ floating storage unit (FSU) and two ship-to-ship transfer kits (STS). They will allow for the transshipment of LNG from Arc7 ice class LNG carriers, which provide transport on the iced waters of the Arctic Ocean, to conventional LNG carriers, which take care of the remaining delivery. By limiting the use of Arc7 ice class LNG carriers, this optimization of the logistic reduces the costs and CO₂ emissions of the LNG transport.

TotalEnergies is a 19.4% shareholder in Novatek and holds a 20% stake in Yamal LNG, a project that started up in December 2017 and produced more than 18.8 million tons of LNG in 2020. The company also holds a 10% stake in Arctic LNG 2, a project currently under construction and on track to deliver its first LNG cargo in 2023.

Russia: TotalEnergies Partners with Novatek on
LNG Decarbonization, Hydrogen and Renewables

Saint Petersburg, June 3, 2021 – TotalEnergies and Novatek have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly work on sustainable reductions of the CO₂ emission resulting from the production of liquefied natural gas (LNG) including with the use of renewable power, to develop large-scale carbon capture and storage solutions (CCS) and to explore new opportunities for developing decarbonized hydrogen and ammonia. This partnership will leverage the significant low-cost resources of the Yamal and Gydan peninsulas and their large potential for geological storage.

Each partner will bring its best-in-class technologies and combine its know-how to explore and develop projects that will help reduce the carbon footprint of the LNG value chain, using:

· carbon capture and storage (CCS),

· energy efficiency,

· renewable sources of power,

· marketing of carbon-neutral LNG,

· and clean hydrogen & ammonia.

Electric Vehicles: TotalEnergies expands the charging network of the
municipality of Amsterdam with 2,200 new EV charging points

Amsterdam / Paris, June 8, 2021 - The municipality of Amsterdam has awarded the concession for the expansion of its public charging network for electric vehicles (EV) to TotalEnergies. As part of this new concession, TotalEnergies will expand Amsterdam's current network with 2,200 new EV charging points, to be installed by fall 2022.

The installation of 1,100 chargers, each equipped with two charging points, will give a boost to the Clean Air Action Plan of the Municipality of Amsterdam, which aims to realize completely emission-free transport by 2030. One of the main challenges of this ambition is to facilitate enough charging points to support the strong growth of electric vehicles.

Amsterdam has selected TotalEnergies, through its subsidiary TotalEnergies Marketing Nederland, as a key partner to realize this increase in scale. TotalEnergies focuses on a hassle-free and transparent customer experience for the e-driver, while guaranteeing both the availability and the quality of the charging service.

For the first time in Amsterdam, TotalEnergies will make large-scale use of clustering of chargers and the expansion of the charging network will be partly based on requests from e-drivers. In addition, a data-driven approach will be used, in which the load on the current charging network is monitored to determine optimal locations. When charging demand on the current charging network will become high, chargers will be proactively added. In this way TotalEnergies ensures that there will always be enough charging points to meet the demand. To further shape the required scaling-up and the growing demand for charging, as many clusters of chargers as necessary will also be installed in Amsterdam.

This policy of the municipality of Amsterdam, supported by TotalEnergies, is a striking example of joint efforts towards more sustainable and emission-free mobility, delivering affordable energy that is increasingly reliable and accessible to as many people as possible.

Deputy Mayor (Alderman) Egbert de Vries (Traffic, Transport, Water and Air Quality) of the municipality of Amsterdam stated: "With the installation of 2,200 new charging points in the city, we are taking the next important step towards cleaner air for all Amsterdam residents. TotalEnergies is also active in the operation of charging infrastructure in major European capitals and urban areas: London (Source London), Paris (Bélib') and the Brussels-Capital Region in Belgium, as well as in the B2B segment in Germany and throughout its service-stations network in Western Europe.

TotalEnergies renews its global partnership with Peugeot, Citroën, DS Automobiles and extends it to Opel and Vauxhall

Paris, June 22, 2021 - TotalEnergies and Stellantis announce the renewal of their partnership for the next five years for the Peugeot, Citroën and DS Automobiles brands. The two Groups are also opening a new chapter with its expansion to include Opel and Vauxhall. These global cooperation agreements now cover five core areas:

· Increased collaboration in Research & Development, with common R&D objectives in terms of sustainable development and innovation, particularly in new forms of mobility, low-carbon or bio-sourced fuels, lubricants and fluids specially optimized for new electrified engines and their components, including batteries.

· “First-fill” lubricants, with the supply of lubricants by TotalEnergies for vehicles produced in the factories of the five Stellantis Group brands concerned throughout the world.

· Exclusive recommendation of Quartz lubricants in the after-sales and maintenance networks of the Peugeot, Citroën, DS Automobiles, Opel and Vauxhall brands. Approved repair specialists have access to TotalEnergies' high-tech motor oils, specifically developed for the engines of these five brands of vehicles, guaranteeing performance, reliability and fuel savings.

· Automobile competition, with technical and sporting cooperation which will henceforth focus exclusively on the various electric and hybrid programmes launched by the brands:

o Peugeot's return to the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the FIA-World Endurance Championship in the Hypercar category for hybrid prototypes, with the design of batteries resulting from the collaboration between Peugeot Sport and TotalEnergies, through its subsidiary SAFT, as well as the development of specific fluids.

o Continued support for the title holding team DS-TECHEETAH in the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, an electric single-seater competition with the development of the Quartz EV Fluid range.

o A new partnership with Opel Motorsport which launches the Opel Corsa-e Rally Cup, the first electric rally world cup

· Mobility and EV charging are a new aspect of this partnership. Free2Move, the Mobility Brand of Stellantis, will use the network of charging stations operated by TotalEnergies for its car-sharing activity in Paris. Other proposals related to simpler electric mobility are also under consideration.

Suriname: TotalEnergies Expands its Presence
with Two New Shallow Water Exploration Licenses

Paris, June 25, 2021 – TotalEnergies and its partner Qatar Petroleum have been awarded Block 6 and Block 8 in the Suriname SHO Bid Round 2020/2021. TotalEnergies shall operate these blocks, situated in shallow water with depths between 30 meters and 50 meters, and adjacent to the TotalEnergies operated Block 58, where 4 significant discoveries have been made since January 2020 and where operations are continuing in 2021.

With these two new operated exploration blocks, TotalEnergies expands its position in Suriname, an emerging world class basin. A 3D seismic acquisition campaign will be carried out on these 2 licenses to confirm their potential.

“This award demonstrates our ability to capture exploration acreage in a core area for TotalEnergies, pursuing our strategy of exploring for low development cost oil resources in highly prospective basins, particularly here, reinforcing our operatorship position in Suriname Block 58 ”, said Kevin McLachlan, Senior Vice President Exploration. “We are delighted to continue to expand our strategic international partnership with Qatar Petroleum on these blocks.”

TotalEnergies will operate the blocks with a 40% working interest, alongside Qatar Petroleum (20%) and the national company Staatsolie (40%).

About Rugby World Cup France 2023:

Rugby World Cup 2023 will take place in France from 8 September - 28 October with matches played in nine venues across 10 host cities. The tournament will be the 10th men’s Rugby World Cup and the second to be hosted by France after a memorable event in 2007.

RWC 2023 will take place in a year when the sport celebrates 200 years since Rugby School pupil William Webb Ellis was credited with inventing the game of rugby football by showing “a fine disregard for the rules” in catching the ball and running with it in 1823.

RWC 2023 will set new standards in social responsibility, inclusion and sustainability for a major rugby event, targeting four key pillars for the tournament’s legacy: acting for sustainability and circular economy, supporting education, training and employment, respecting and protecting the environment and promoting inclusivity by being a champion for gender equality.

The showpiece event in men’s rugby union 15s, Rugby World Cup 2023 will feature 20 teams – 12 of whom qualified directly by finishing in the top three in their pool at Japan 2019 and eight from a global qualification process – with 48 matches played across 51 days.

TotalEnergies and Uber Join Forces

to Accelerate the Transition Towards Electric Urban Mobility

Paris, June 29, 2021 – TotalEnergies and Uber are partnering today to accelerate the transition of Uber’s drivers towards electric mobility, by providing support for vehicle conversion and easier access to charge points. This partnership targets France at first, with the possibility to extend it to other European countries.

Uber has set an objective to reach by 2025 50% of electric vehicles available on its French platform, which currently has 30,000 registered drivers, as part of its wider commitments to be fully electric across Europe and North America by 2030. Meanwhile, TotalEnergies is already strongly involved in charging services and infrastructures in major European cities and throughout France, particularly in Paris.

TotalEnergies will therefore issue to drivers, currently using the Uber app and equipped with electric or plug-in hybrid vehicles, a TotalEnergies card giving them access to charge points located within its service-stations and throughout the EV charging networks it operates. They will have access to 20,000 charge points in France by end-2021, and more than 75,000 by 2025. In addition, TotalEnergies and Uber will collaborate, based on drivers’ habits and journeys, to determine the optimal locations for future hubs and charging sites.

These drivers will also be offered the opportunity to join “Club”, TotalEnergies loyalty program, and benefit from the free Club assistance for a full year, which includes a wide range of services including the roadside assistance for their electric or plug-in hybrid vehicle.

Finally, drivers will have privileged access to an in-home offer with free administrative support, designed to encourage the installation of an electric charge point at home, whether they live in a condominium or in individual housing.

Charging infrastructure: first obstacle to the transition to Electric Vehicle for drivers

The lack of charging infrastructure is often quoted by drivers as a major obstacle to the transition to electric vehicles. In Ile-de-France (France’s largest region, which encompasses 12 million people, including Paris and all its surrounding cities), for example, charging stations are currently concentrated in the center of Paris and the inner suburbs, while only 12% of drivers using the Uber application live within the city, compared to 41% in the outer suburbs (‘’Départements’’ 77, 78, 91 and 95) and 22%, i.e. the majority, live in Seine-Saint-Denis (Département 93).

A driver travels an average of 250 kilometers per day. The autonomy of electric cars today allows them to cover this daily distance but having an efficient network of charging stations that are accessible under good conditions (location, recharging time, competitive prices) remains essential. A driver should never have to refuse a ride for fear of running out of battery.
