– The Registration Document (Document de référence) for the year ended December 31, 2009, was filed with the French Financial Markets Authority (Autorité des marchés financiers) on Thursday, April 1, 2010. Copies of this document are available free of charge, pursuant to applicable law, and can be downloaded from the Company’s Web site (www.total.com) under the heading Investors/ Publications.

The Registration Document notably includes the annual financial report, the report by the Chairman of the Board of Directors required under Article L.225-37 of the French Commercial Code (corporate governance, internal control and risk management) and the reports from the independent auditors.
