Consolidation, Policy [Policy Text Block] The condensed consolidated financial statements included herein have been prepared by Standard Pacific Corp., without audit, pursuant to the rules and regulations of the Securities and Exchange Commission ("SEC") for Form 10-Q.Certain information normally included in the annual financial statements prepared in accordance with U.S. generally accepted accounting principles ("GAAP") has been omitted pursuant to applicable rules and regulations.In the opinion of management, the unaudited condensed consolidated financial statements included herein reflect all adjustments, which include only normal recurring adjustments, necessary to present fairly our financial position as of June 30, 2012 and the results of operations and cash flows for the periods presented.Pursuant to ASC Topic 855, Subsequent Events , we have evaluated subsequent events through the date that the accompanying condensed consolidated financial statements were issued for the period ended June 30, 2012. Certain items in the prior period condensed consolidated financial statements have been reclassified to conform with the current period presentation. The unaudited condensed consolidated financial statements included herein should be read in conjunction with the audited consolidated financial statements and notes thereto included in our Annual Report on Form 10-K for the year ended December 31, 2011.Unless the context otherwise requires, the terms "we," "us," "our" and "the Company" refer to Standard Pacific Corp. and its subsidiaries.The results of operations for interim periods are not necessarily indicative of results to be expected for the full year.
