Item 8.01. Other Events.

On November 4, 2019, National Health Investors issued a press release announcing that S&P Global Ratings (S&P) has assigned an investment grade issuer credit rating of ‘BBB-’ with a Stable outlook to the Company. NHI also announced that Fitch Ratings (Fitch) has affirmed an investment grade long-term issuer default rating (IDR) at ‘BBB-’ with a Stable outlook. The Press Release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K and is also incorporated by reference herein.
