NOTIFICATION OF THE REMOVAL FROM LISTING AND REGISTRATION OF THE STATED SECURITIES
The New York Stock Exchange hereby notifies the SEC of its intention to remove the entire class of the stated securities from listing and registration on the Exchange at the opening of business on October 16, 2017, pursuant to the provisions of Rule 12d2-2 (a).

The mandatory exchange of American Homes 4 Rent became effective on September 28, 2017. Each share of the 5.000% Series B Participating Preferred Shares of American Homes 4 Rent was converted into 1.3106 shares of American Homes 4 Rent's Class A Common Shares of Beneficial Interest.
