5. Inventories

The Company recorded a write-down of obsolete inventory for the year-ended December 31, 2019 totaling $7.4 million as part of a restructuring plan and a $1.5 million charge for inventory obsolescence related to certain System components. There were no such write-downs or charges for the three and six months ended June 30, 2020. A $0.8 million write-down for inventory obsolescence related to certain systems components was recorded in the three and six months ended June 30, 2019.
