Employee Benefits [Text Block]	(7) Employee Benefits BOK Financial has sponsored a defined benefit Pension Plan for all employees who satisfied certain age and service requirements. Pension Plan benefits were curtailed as of April 1, 2006. The Company recognized periodic pension expense of $149 thousand and $500 thousand for the three months ended March 31, 2014 and 2013, respectively. The Company made no Pension Plan contributions during the three months ended March 31, 2014 and 2013. No minimum contribution is required for 2014.
