Subsequent Events	SUBSEQUENT EVENTS Fluence — In July 2017, the Company entered into a joint venture with Siemens AG to form a global energy storage technology and services company under the name Fluence. On January 1, 2018, Siemens and AES closed on the creation of the joint venture with each party holding a 50% ownership interest. Since AES does not have the ability to control Fluence, the joint venture will be accounted for as an equity affiliate.
