Item 8.01  Other Events.

On January 31, 2010, Jones Apparel Group, Inc. (the "Company") announced the appointment of Richard Dickson to the position of President and Chief Executive Officer - Branded Businesses of the Company, effective February 8, 2010. As of February 8, 2010, Wesley R. Card, currently President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company, will no longer serve as the Company's President but will remain Chief Executive Officer of the Company.
