On October 17, 2007, the Board of Directors of Jones Apparel Group, Inc. elected Donna F. Zarcone to the Board of Directors.  Ms. Zarcone's election to the Board will be effective October 29, 2007. Ms. Zarcone is expected to be named to the Audit Committee of the Board.
