JONES APPAREL GROUP, INC. CONFIRMS RECEIPT OF REQUISITE
KASPER A.S.L., LTD. STAKEHOLDERS' SUPPORT OF PLAN OF REORGANIZATION

NEW YORK, NEW YORK -- November 13, 2003 -- Jones Apparel Group, Inc. (NYSE:JNY) today confirmed that it has received the required agreement of certain Kasper A.S.L., Ltd. stakeholders to support Kasper's Plan of Reorganization, which includes Jones' amended purchase agreement for Kasper. The closing, subject to confirmation of Kasper's Plan of Reorganization on November 19, 2003, is expected to occur in early December 2003.
