Inventories as of June 30, 2012 and December 31, 2011 consist of the following:

At June 30, 2012, $10.5 million of inventories were included in prepaid expenses and other current assets and $13.9 million of inventories were included in other assets. At December 31, 2011, $3.7 million of inventories were included in prepaid expenses and other current assets and $12.9 million of inventories were included in other assets.

For the three and six months ended June 30, 2012, cost of goods sold included inventory write-downs and reserves totaling $6.5 million and $8.4 million, respectively. For the three and six months ended June 30, 2011, there were no inventory write-downs or reserves included in cost of goods sold.
