     On January 31, 2008, PetroQuest Energy, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release updating fourth quarter 2007 production guidance and announcing 2007 estimated proved reserves. In addition, the Company provided 2008 production and capital expenditure guidance, an update of hedge transactions, an overview of recent drilling activities and an acquisition update. This press release is filed as Exhibit 99.1 to this Form 8-K and is incorporated herein by reference.
