Summary of Minimum Future Rental Payments under Operating Leases

For the year ended December 29, 2018, minimum rental payments under operating leases were recognized on a straight-line basis over the term of the lease including any periods of free rent. Rent expense for operating leases, including payments for short-term equipment and storage rentals, was $6.9 million in fiscal 2018.
