Item 8.01                                           Other Events.

 

On March 12, 2014, The Travelers Companies, Inc. (“Travelers”) changed the date of its Annual Meeting of Shareholders from May 28, 2014 (as previously announced) to May 27, 2014.  The meeting will be held in Hartford, Connecticut, at the Hartford Marriott Downtown. In April, Travelers plans to send proxy materials, or a notice of internet availability of proxy materials, to shareholders of record as of March 31, 2014.
