As previously reported in a Form 8-K filed July 18, 2005, Safeco’s Board of Directors appointed Peter L. S. Currie as director on July 15, 2005. On August 11, 2005, Safeco’s Board of Directors appointed Mr. Currie to the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors.
