On February 22, 2010, SEACOR Holdings Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing that, on February 18, 2010, its Board of Directors increased by $147.8 million its authorization for repurchases of its common stock.  With this increase, the Company has approximately $250 million available for such purchases.  The repurchase of the Company’s common stock may be conducted from time to time through open market purchases, privately negotiated transactions or otherwise depending on market conditions.  A copy of the press release is furnished as Exhibit 99.1 to this report and is incorporated herein by reference.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE — SEACOR Holdings Inc. (NYSE: CKH) today announced that its Board of Directors has increased its authorization for repurchases of SEACOR's common stock by $147.8 million for a total authorized expenditure of up to $250 million for the purchase of such securities.  In addition, SEACOR may purchase, separate from such authorization, any or all of its 5.875% senior notes due 2012 and its 7.375% senior notes due 2019. The repurchase of securities may be conducted from time to time through open market purchases, privately negotiated transactions or otherwise depending on market conditions.
