Item 5.03 Amendments to Articles of Incorporation or Bylaws; Change in Fiscal Year End

Trident Microsystems, Inc., a Delaware corporation (the “Company”) announced that on November 16, 2009 its Board of Directors approved a change in the Company’s fiscal year end from June 30 to December 31. The change will become effective at the end of the quarter ending December 31, 2009. The report covering the transition period will be filed with the filing of the Company’s Annual Report on Form 10-K for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2009.
