Item 8.01 Other Events.
     On April 14, 2009, Medicis Pharmaceutical Corporation (“Medicis” or the “Company”) and Ipsen, S.A. (“Ipsen”) reported that the companies are in active labeling and Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategy discussions with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration related to the Biologics License Application for Ipsen’s botulinum toxin type A product in both therapeutic and aesthetic indications.
