Item 7.01.              Regulation FD Disclosure

 

A.           Haynes International, Inc. (the “Company”) announced on June 30, 2010, that the Company reached a tentative three-year agreement with the leadership of the United Steelworkers Local 2958 (the “USW”).  The agreement covers approximately 454 employees at the Company’s Kokomo, Indiana plant and the Lebanon, Indiana service center.  Before it becomes effective, the tentative agreement must be ratified by the USW membership.  The USW has informed the Company that it will take the tentative agreement to its membership for a ratification vote on Thursday, July 1, 2010.  Until the ratification process is complete, the employees continue to work under the existing collective bargaining agreement.

B.             The Company announced on July 1, 1010, that membership of the United Steelworkers Local 2958 has ratified the collective bargaining agreement.  The new three-year agreement includes a lump sum payout of $4,000 for covered employees and wage increases of 2.0% in 2011 and 2012.  This agreement succeeds an existing agreement that expired June 30, 2010.

KOKOMO, IN, June 30, 2010 — Haynes International, Inc. (Nasdaq: HAYN) announced today that the Company has reached a tentative three-year agreement with the leadership of the United Steelworkers Local 2958 (USW).  The agreement covers approximately 454 employees at the Company’s Kokomo, Indiana plant and the Lebanon, Indiana service center.  Before it becomes effective, the tentative agreement must be ratified by the USW membership.  The USW has informed the Company that it will take the tentative agreement to its membership for a ratification vote on Thursday, July 1, 2010.  Until the ratification process is complete, the employees will continue to work under the existing collective bargaining agreement.

HAYNES INTERNATIONAL, INC. ANNOUNCES RATIFICATION OF LABOR AGREEMENT

 

KOKOMO, IN, July 1, 2010 — Haynes International, Inc. (Nasdaq: HAYN) announced today that membership of the United Steelworkers Local 2958 has ratified an agreement covering approximately 454 employees at the Company’s Kokomo, Indiana plant and the Lebanon, Indiana service center.

 

“We are very pleased that the local union has ratified this new contract,” said Mark Comerford, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company.  “We believe that this was a successful negotiation process, with contributions by both sides.  With this agreement in place, we look forward to focusing our energy and efforts on meeting the needs of our customers and working together to build a strong future for our company.”
