Item 8.01 Other Events.

Harvest Natural Resources, Inc.'s 80-percent owned Venezuelan subsidiary, Harvest Vinccler, C.A., received $43.3 million in U.S. Dollars and 31 billion Bolivars (the local Venezuelan currency equivalent to $14.4 million at the official exchange rate of 2,150 Bolivars for each Dollar) as payment for its 2005 second quarter deliveries of oil and gas to Petroleos de Venezuela, S.A. (PDVSA). In addition, HVCA received an additional payment from PDVSA of $5.7 million and 4 billion Bolivars (equivalent to $1.9 million at the official exchange rate) related to 2005 first quarter deliveries.
