On October 28, 2009, TOR Minerals International, Inc. (the "Company") issued a press release announcing that it will release the Company's third quarter 2009 earnings results after the markets close on Thursday, November 5, 2009.

A webcast discussing third quarter 2009 results will be accessible immediately following the earnings release via the News section of the Company's website, http://www.torminerals.com.  The webcast will be led by Dr. Olaf Karasch, President and CEO, of TOR Minerals.

A copy of this press release is furnished as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K.
