On April 26, 2006, TOR Minerals International, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing that it will webcast the Company’s 2006 first quarter earnings results conference call on Thursday, May 4, 2006, at 5 p.m. EST, 4 p.m. CST.  The call, which will be led by the Company’s President and CEO, Richard Bowers, and CFO, Lawrence “Woody” Haas, will be available via the internet at the Company’s homepage, www.torminerals.com.  First quarter results will be released after the market's close on May 4, 2006.

A copy of this press release is furnished as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K.
