Organization, Consolidation and Presentation of Financial Statements [Abstract]
BASIS OF PRESENTATION BASIS OF PRESENTATION:
The condensed consolidated financial statements include the accounts of Power Integrations, Inc., a Delaware corporation (the “Company”), and its wholly owned subsidiaries. Significant intercompany accounts and transactions have been eliminated in consolidation.
While the financial information furnished is unaudited, the condensed consolidated financial statements included in this report reflect all adjustments (consisting only of normal recurring adjustments) that the Company considers necessary for the fair presentation of the results of operations for the interim periods covered and the financial condition of the Company at the date of the interim balance sheet in accordance with accounting principles generally accepted in the United States of America (“U.S. GAAP”). The results for interim periods are not necessarily indicative of the results for the entire year. The condensed consolidated financial statements should be read in conjunction with the Company’s consolidated financial statements and the notes thereto for the year ended December 31, 2019, included in its Form 10-K filed on February 7, 2020, with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The share and per share information for all periods presented in this Form 10-Q has been adjusted for the effect of the August 2020 stock split. Refer to Note 8, Stockholders’ Equity, in this Form 10-Q for details.
