Goodwill

Goodwill was $1,612 million at both June 30, 2017 and December 31, 2016. Goodwill for these periods reflects accumulated impairment losses of $670 million, which were recognized in prior periods. During the first half of 2017, there were no events or changes in circumstances to indicate that it is more likely than not the fair values of any of our reporting units have reduced below their respective carrying amounts.
