The service cost component is included in Cost of Sales and Operating Expenses. All other components of net period benefit costs are included in Other Expenses, net on the Company's Condensed Consolidated Statements of Income.
The estimated net actuarial loss and prior service cost for post retirement plans that will be amortized from AOCI into net periodic benefit cost during the 2019 fiscal year are $1.8 million and $0.3 million, respectively.
For the three months ended March 30, 2019 and March 31, 2018, the Company contributed $0.8 million and $0.9 million, respectively, to post retirement plans. The Company expects to make total contributions of $11.1 million in 2019. The Company contributed a total of $11.5 million in fiscal 2018. The assumptions used in the valuation of the Company’s post retirement plans and in the target investment allocation have remained the same as those disclosed in the Company’s 2018 Annual Report on Form 10-K filed on February 26, 2019.
