ITEM 8.01   OTHER EVENTS

      On August 29, 2008, Landauer, Inc. issued a News Release announcing
the declaration of a regular quarterly cash dividend of $0.50 per share for
the fourth quarter of fiscal 2008.  The dividend will be paid on October 3,
2008, to shareholders of record on September 12, 2008.  A copy of the News
Release is furnished as Exhibit 99.1 to this current report on Form 8-K.
