Item 7.01 Regulation FD Disclosure.

     On March 18, 2010, Delta Petroleum Corporation issued a press release announcing it has entered into a non-binding letter of intent with Opon International LLC to sell a 37.5% non-operated working interest in Delta’s Vega Area assets located in the Piceance Basin. A copy of the press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 and incorporated herein by reference.
