Segment Reporting – Improvements to Reportable Segment Disclosures
In November 2023, the Financial Accounting Standards Board (“FASB”) issued Accounting Standards Update (“ASU”) 2023-07, Improvements to Reportable Segment Disclosures, updating reportable segment disclosure requirements in accordance with Topic 280, Segment Reporting (“Topic 280”), primarily through enhanced disclosures about significant segment expenses. In addition, the amendments enhance interim disclosure requirements, clarify circumstances in which an entity can disclose multiple segment measures of profit or loss and contain other disclosure requirements. The amendments are effective for annual periods beginning after December 15, 2023, and interim periods beginning after December 15, 2024. Early adoption is permitted. The Company is assessing changes to the segment-related disclosures resulting from the standard. The adoption of the standard will not have an impact on the Company’s consolidated results of operations and financial condition as the standard is disclosure-related only.
Income Taxes – Improvements to Income Tax Disclosures
In December 2023, the FASB issued ASU 2023-09, Improvements to Income Tax Disclosures, updating the accounting standards related to income tax disclosures, primarily focused on the disaggregation of income taxes paid and the rate reconciliation table. The standard is to be applied prospectively with an option for retrospective application and is effective for annual periods beginning after December 15, 2024, with early adoption permitted. The Company is assessing changes to the income tax-related disclosures resulting from the standard. The adoption of the standard will not have an impact on the Company’s consolidated results of operations and financial condition as the standard is disclosure-related only.
