(NYSE:NMG.A)(NYSE:NMG.B) announced the following preliminary Company-wide revenues: 4 weeks ended November 29, November 30, 2003 2002 % Change ---------------- --------------- --------- Total Revenues $295 million $278 million 6.1% Comparable Revenues $293 million $277 million 5.8% In the four-week November period, comparable revenues in the Specialty Retail Stores segment, which includes Neiman Marcus Stores and Bergdorf Goodman, increased 5.0 percent. November sales results were negatively impacted by the Company's decision to eliminate several significant promotional events that occurred in the prior year. Revenue growth trends were the strongest in the Company's stores on the West coast. Merchandise that sold well in the Specialty Retail Stores segment included women's contemporary sportswear and dresses, women's shoes, designer handbags, cosmetics and designer jewelry. Comparable revenues at Neiman Marcus Direct in the four-week November period increased 6.7 percent. Top selling merchandise in the Direct Marketing segment included women's contemporary sportswear, women's shoes, jewelry and accessories. The Company's four-week reporting period is consistent with last year and reflects a 4-5-4 week second quarter. The Neiman Marcus Group, Inc. operations include the Specialty Retail Stores segment and the Direct Marketing segment.
