On June 2, 2006, the board of directors of Ebix, Inc. (“Ebix”) announced a share repurchase of up to $1 million of Ebix’s current outstanding shares of common stock. Under the terms of the board’s authorization, Ebix retains the right to purchase up to $1million in shares but does not have to repurchase this entire amount. All repurchases are expected to be funded from existing cash.

A copy of the press release announcing the stock repurchase authorization issued by Ebix on June 5, 2006 is attached as Exhibit 99.1.

EBIX BOARD AUTHORIZES SHARE REPURCHASE WORTH $1 MILLION

ATLANTA, GA — June 5, 2006 — Ebix, Inc. (NASDAQ: EBIX), a leading international developer and supplier of software and e-commerce solutions to the insurance industry, today announced that its Board of Directors has authorized the repurchase of $1 million of its outstanding shares of common stock.

The repurchase program’s terms have been structured to comply with the SEC’s Rule10b-18, and is subject to market conditions and applicable legal requirements. The program does not obligate the Company to acquire any specific number of shares and may be suspended or terminated at any time. All purchases will be on the open market and are expected to be funded from existing cash.
