Item 8.01 Other Events.

On January 3, 2011, Kaiser Aluminum Corporation (the "Company") announced that, pursuant to a previously disclosed agreement, it has completed the acquisition by a wholly owned indirect subsidiary of the Company of substantially all of the assets of Alexco, L.L.C., a manufacturer of hard alloy extrusions for the aerospace industry based in Chandler, Arizona. The acquisition was consummated effective January 1, 2011. A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and incorporated herein by reference.

Kaiser Aluminum Corporation Completes
Purchase of the Assets of Alexco, LLC

FOOTHILL RANCH, Calif., January 3, 2011 – Kaiser Aluminum Corporation (NASDAQ:KALU) today announced it has completed the agreement, as announced October 13, 2010, to purchase substantially all the assets of Alexco, LLC, a manufacturer of hard alloy extrusions for the aerospace industry based in Chandler, Arizona. The purchase became effective on January 1, 2011.
