Item 8.01 Other Events.

On October 13, 2009, Kaiser Aluminum Corporation announced that its Board of Directors declared a quarterly cash dividend on its common stock of $0.24 per share. The dividend will be payable on November 13, 2009 to stockholders of record as of the close of business on October 23, 2009. A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1.

Kaiser Aluminum Announces Quarterly Dividend Payment

FOOTHILL RANCH, Calif. – October 13, 2009 – Kaiser Aluminum Corporation (NASDAQ:KALU) today announced that its Board of Directors has declared a quarterly cash dividend payment of $0.24 per share on the Company’s outstanding common stock. The dividend will be payable on November 13, 2009 to shareholders of record at the close of business on October 23, 2009.
