Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Principal Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Principal Officers

On August 7, 2009, Mr. Joseph F. Bohan III notified Bioject Medical Technologies Inc. (the “Company”) that he would not be standing for re-election at the Company’s 2009 Annual Meeting. Mr. Bohan will remain a member of the Company’s board of directors until the date of its 2009 Annual Meeting.
