Item 8.01 - Other Events
On November 16, 2020, Park National Corporation ("Park") received $20.0 million as a settlement related to previously unpaid judgments with respect to former Vision Bank non-performing loans which had been charged off. The estimated pre-tax impact to Park's net income will be an addition of $18.0 million for the quarterly period ended December 31, 2020 (as well as the year ended December 31, 2020), which reflects funds received less estimated expenses of $2.0 million. The funds received in the settlement will be recorded in Park's consolidated financial statements as a recovery of loan losses in respect of the previously charged-off principal, interest and fees associated with the former Vision Bank non-performing loans at issue.
