Item 8.01 Other Events
On May 14, 2024, the Registrant announced that the U.S. Army awarded AMTEC Corporation, its wholly-owned subsidiary, a five-year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for production of its 40mm M918E2 High Velocity Target Practice – Day/Night/Thermal (TP-DNT) cartridge. Additionally, Spectra Technologies, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary within National Defense Corporation, National Presto Industries’ Defense segment holding company, received a follow on subcontract for production of the warhead for the tube-launched, optically-tracked, wireless-guided TOW® 2B missile. The award has a total value of approximately $48 million. A press release describing the award is filed as Exhibit 99.1 to this Form 8‑K. Such Exhibit shall not be deemed “filed” for purposes of Section 18 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, as amended (the “Exchange Act”), or incorporated by reference in any filing under the Securities Act of 1933, as amended, or the Exchange Act, except as shall be expressly set forth by specific reference in such a filing.
