Item 7.01Regulation FD Disclosure.

On May 4, 2016, Dawson Geophysical Company (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing that it plans to publicly release its preliminary and unaudited financial results for the quarter ended March 31, 2016, the Company’s first quarter of fiscal 2016, before the market opens on Tuesday, May 10, 2016. In addition, the Company announced that an investors’ conference call to review the first quarter results will be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2016, at 9:00 a.m. Central Time.
