Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.
Lawrence G. Hund, 64, President and Chief Operating Officer of Harley-Davidson Financial Services, Inc. ("HDFS"), has been promoted to Chief Commercial Officer of Harley-Davidson Motor Company, Inc., a subsidiary of Harley-Davidson, Inc., effective April 20, 2020. Mr. Hund will be responsible for the global sales function including the company’s motorcycle Parts and Accessories, General Merchandise and Harley-Davidson Museum businesses. Also effective April 20, 2020, Mr. Hund will cease serving as the President and Chief Operating Officer of HDFS and commence his appointment as Chairman of the board of directors of HDFS. Mr. Hund has served as President and Chief Operating Officer of HDFS since 2009.
Jonathan Root, 46, Vice President of Insurance of HDFS, has been promoted to Senior Vice President, HDFS, effective April 20, 2020, and will succeed Mr. Hund in his role. Mr. Root joined Harley-Davidson in 2011 and has held various HDFS leadership roles.
