NOTE 6 — LOSS ON DISPOSAL OF SUBSIDIARIES

During the fourth quarter of fiscal 2015, the Company committed to a plan to sell its business operations in Chile and Peru. The Company classified the assets and liabilities of these entities as held for sale at January 31, 2015. In March 2015, the Company also committed to a plan to exit its business operations in Uruguay. During fiscal 2016 and 2015, the Company incurred a loss of $0.7 million and $1.3 million, respectively, for charges related to the plan to exit its business operations in Uruguay and the loss on the sale of its business operations in Chile and Peru. The Company has completed the sale of its operations in Chile and Peru as well as the exit of its operations in Uruguay. The operating results of these entities during fiscal 2016, 2015 and 2014 were insignificant relative to the Company's consolidated financial results. During the fourth quarter of fiscal 2015, the Company also recorded a $5.6 million deferred tax liability related to undistributed earnings on assets held for sale in certain Latin American jurisdictions.

The Company did not have assets and liabilities classified as held for sale at January 31, 2016. The components of assets and liabilities held for sale at January 31, 2015 were as follows (in thousands):
