We disclose that at the meeting of the Board of Directors of Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company (respectively, the “Board” and the “Company”) held on September 23, 2011 at 6:30 P.M., the Board approved the redemption of all the outstanding shares of the Company’s 10% Cumulative Convertible Preferred Stock, Series A to FF, (the “SIP Shares”), effective January 19, 2012. The Company will likewise redeem outstanding Series GG to II SIP Shares as their redemption fall due.

The record date for the redemption of the holders of outstanding SIP Shares subject to redemption is October 10, 2011.
