INCOME TAXES	INCOME TAXESThe effective tax rate was higher than the U.S. federal statutory rate of 21% and decreased during 2023 compared to 2022 primarily caused by increased benefits from taxes on non-U.S. earnings and lower repositioning related expenses, partially offset by tax expense from accrued withholding tax related to unremitted foreign earnings.
